Dane Diagnostics and IIT Palakkad Join Hands to develop Clinical Grade Devices
Dane Diagnostics and IIT Palakkad, took a significant step forward by signing a MoU on 01/11/2023. This collaboration is geared towards developing Clinical Grade Devices and other collaborative R&D projects, particularly in the fields Biomedical Engineering and its applications.
This research collaboration intends to develop AI-powered medical imaging devices for breast cancer screening, diagnosis, and staging. It also seeks to improve screening and diagnosis accuracy by using microwave imaging and ultrasound sensors in a portable multimodal imaging system with efficient AI models, reducing false alarms. Due focus is also given in developing contactless vital sign monitors for home use, aiding in monitoring infants and the elderly, and creating a non-invasive wearable Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) device for people with diabetes.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Sushama, Managing Director, Dane Diagnostics and Dr. Santhakumar Mohan, Dean, Industry Collaboration and Sponsored Research, IIT Palakkad in the presence of Dr.Gowri.A,Director Dane Diagnostics , Dr. T.P.Jayaraman, Dr. Ramani m kumar, Dr.Ramya T G of Dane Diagnostics and Dr. Sabarimalai Manikandan, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Dr. Selva Pandian, Industry Liaison Officer, IIT Palakkad.
